The Matters Opened Report and the Matter List Report are both aimed to provide a matter overview across your firm. While they share similarities in filtering and grouping criteria, the Matters Opened Report feature has the unique advantages of reporting on matters' 'Fee Estimate' and including the option to display the 'Client Address'. However, to display matters' 'Province' and 'Other Side', you can instead use the Matter List Report.

You can use the Client Details Report, as the report provides a client list including their contact details. The results are filterable by matter status and type, as well as the Person Responsible and Person Acting. LEAP also provides the Card Details Report, but the report doesn't differentiate between clients and non-clients. Therefore, the Client Details Report is the better option.

You can run the Matter List Report, which shows the Person Responsible, Acting and Assisting, as well as the Introducing Lawyer of the matter. One of them should have access. If they are no longer with the firm, you can temporarily enable the LEAP access for one of them (i.e. their old user account), reset the its password through the 'Staff Details' window, and log in as the user to 'unlock' the matter. Note that, to do so, you may need to temporarily disable a current Staff member’s LEAP access. Remember to communicate with the current user before proceeding and re-enable the user's LEAP access after unlocking the matter.

To organize matters by branch and distinguish between different branches, you can set up a Reporting Group for each branch and assign matters to their relevant Reporting Group. Then, generate the Matters Opened Report, ensuring the ‘Group By’ option is set to ‘Reporting Group’. This report will group matters under Reporting Groups, allowing matters under one branch to be distinguished from other branches.

To create a Reporting Group and assign a matter to a Reporting Group, please refer to this article (under 'Reporting Group'). For more information on how to utilize Reporting Groups for reporting purposes, please refer to this article (under 'Report Common Filters - Reporting Groups').

The Invoices Report can identify the top 15 clients based on total finalized invoice value. Ensure you filter the report to include only finalized invoices, group the results by 'Client', and sort them by 'Inv Total' in descending order.

If you need to identify the top ten or top five clients in terms of final invoice value, you can also simply refer to the Firm Overview Report. Make sure to include the 'Top Ten Client' section in the filter settings. Please note that this report does not include clients beyond the top 10.

A: Please refer to the Invoice Variance Report. The report highlights any differences between the professional fee recorded and the amount billed.

You can utilize the Invoices Report. Be sure to group results by 'Matter Type' and set filters accordingly to meet your specific need.
