Add the following folders to your antivirus exceptions list:

  NOTE: the wild card * is important as there are three different LEAP related folders.

• C:\Program Files\LEAP Office\*
• C:\Program Files\LEAP Accounting\*
• C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\*
• C:\ProgramData\LEAP Office\*
• C:\ProgramData\LEAP Accounting\*
• C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\LEAP Accounting
• C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\LEAP Desktop

If you are using an antivirus or firewall software that is unable to use “wildcards” or requires additional specified application paths, the six files below should be added to your antivirus and or firewall exceptions list:

• C:\Program Files\LEAP Office\Cloud\LEAP Desktop.exe
• C:\Program Files\LEAP Office\Timesheet\Leap.Timesheet.Shell.exe
• C:\ProgramData\LEAP Office\Cloud\Net Client\LeapOfficeXE.NetClient.exe

• C:\ProgramData\LEAP Office\Cloud\Extras\LEAPPrint\LEAPPrint.exe

• C:\Program Files\LEAP Accounting\Cloud\LEAP Accounting.exe

Firewall and Antivirus Configuration

If your antivirus or firewall uses web-based exceptions, add the following domains to the allow list to ensure LEAP runs smoothly:

• *.leap.us
• *.leapaws.com
• *.leap.services
• *.leap.build
• *.cortoaws.com

If you use multiple security products, make sure each one includes these exceptions.

AWS Hosting

LEAP is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), which uses dynamic IP addresses across multiple data centers. Because these IPs change automatically, it’s not possible to whitelist LEAP by IP address.

Allowing the above wildcard domains ensures uninterrupted and secure access to LEAP services, in line with AWS best practices and LEAP’s Information Security Policy.
