Individual Receipts Not Appearing on the Bank Deposit Slip

Learn how to troubleshoot why your individual receipts are not appearing on the Bank deposit slip and explore the multiple methods to potentially resolve the issue.

There are a number of reasons why an individual receipt is excluded from a bank deposit slip:

  • The payment method may be incorrect. Only cash and cheque payment methods appear on the bank deposit slip
  • The receipt is not marked as Undeposited. The receipt must be marked as Undeposited in order to appear on the bank deposit slip
  • The receipt has previously appeared on a bank deposit slip

If the Payment Method Is Incorrect

 

  1. On the matter that contains the receipt, click LEAP Accounting. 

    LEAP Accounting will open in a new window.

  2. Click either the Office Accounting or Client Funds tab.

  3. Double-click the receipt to open it.

  4. Confirm that the payment type is correct.

  5. If the payment type is correct, continue to the next section, otherwise if the payment type is incorrect, go to the next step.

  6. Click User-added image.

  7. Re-enter the receipt, making sure that the correct payment method is selected before saving.

  8. Generate a new bank deposit slip.

If the Receipt Is Not Marked as Undeposited

 

  1. On the matter that contains the receipt, click LEAP Accounting. 

    LEAP Accounting will open in a new window.

  2. Click either the Office Accounting or Client Funds tab.

  3. Double-click the receipt to open it.

  4. Confirm that Undeposited is selected.

  5. If the receipt is marked as Undeposited, continue to the next section, otherwise if the receipt is not marked as Undeposited go to the next step.

  6. Click User-added image.

  7. Re-enter the receipt, making sure that Undeposited is selected before saving.

  8. Generate a new bank deposit slip.

If the Receipt Has Previously Appeared on a Bank Deposit Slip

 

  1. Re-enter the receipt, ensuring Undeposited is selected before saving.

  2. Double-click the receipt to open it.

  3. Click Tools icon and select Open Bank Deposit.

  4. If this options is available, the receipt is already on a bank deposit slip. If the option is greyed out (unavailable), then the receipt hasn't been banked.
