Every matter in LEAP has a set of tables that are specific to that matter. There are two types of tables that appear in a matter, which are: card tables and layout tables.
Card Tables
A card table requires a user to enter information about a person, business, government department or trust relevant to a matter, such as a party to a proceeding, an expert, a valuator, or a courthouse.
Layout Tables
A layout table is a table in a matter where information relevant to that matter needs to be filled out and will populate onto legal documents. A table has a name, fields and/or calculations related to that table.
For example, under the Divorce & Separation matter type, there is a table called “Child details” where information about the child’s school, grade, and names of the people the child lives with is filled out onto the table.
The LEAP Content Development Team creates the fields and calculations that appear on tables in each matter.
