How To

Location: LEAP Menu > Reports > Client Funds > Client Account Statements

Purpose: Download trust statements for a selected Client Funds bank account across matters, allowing users to select matters and download their statements based on either a reporting period or a cutoff date.

Filters:

Matters	With balances only: Displays only matters that currently have Client Funds balances. Note: This option uses the 'At Date' as the cutoff date. With transactions within reporting period: Displays matters with transactions recorded during the specified reporting period. Note: This option adopts the reporting period starting at the 'Transactions From' date and ending at the 'At Date'.
Bank Account	Select the Client Funds bank account from which you want to view Client Account statement details.
Transactions From	Choose the start date for displaying Client Account statement transactions when when the Matters setting is With transactions within reporting period. NOTE: This filter is NOT available when the Matters setting is With balances only.
At Date	Specify the cutoff date on which you want to run the report.
For	Generate trust statements for one of the following parties: All Clients: With this option, the download document for a matter will contain a separate statement for each client. If multiple clients are associated with the matter, individual statements are included and addressed to each client. Debtors Only: With this option, the downloaded document will contain a single statement for debtors only.

Matter List:

Review the list and select matter(s) for download their trust statements.

Click VIEW to open the statement in your browser
Click DOWNLOAD to download the selected statement(s) directly.

Matter No.	The matter number.
Matter Type	The type of matter.
Client Name	Client's full name.
Responsible	The Person Responsible for the matter.
Acting	The Person Acting for the matter.
Status	The current status of the matter.

Report Fields:

Header	Header includes: Client Details: Client Name and Address. Matter Information: Matter Number, Client and Matter Description. Bank Information: Institution, Account Name, Sort Code and Account Number. Reporting Period (depending on the Matters setting) From / To Dates: The date range for which transactions are displayed in the statement, or As At: The cutoff date for which transactions are displayed in the statement. Staff Responsible: The Person Responsible on the matter.
Date	Displays the Transaction Date associated with the transaction and, if different, the Entry Date, which is marked with an asterisk.
Transaction No.	The reference number for each transaction.
Description	A short note explaining the nature or purpose of the transaction, based on the transaction window.
Withdrawal	A short note explaining the nature or purpose of the transaction, based on the transaction window.
Deposit	The amount deposited into the trust account for that transaction.
Balance	The running balance of the trust account after each transaction.
Totals	Displays the following: Withdrawal – Total withdrawals within the selected date range. Deposit – Total deposits within the selected date range. Balance – The end date bank account balance.
